A Crafting Christmas

This Christmas I noticed a pattern with the gifts I received from my loved ones.  A lot of them were craft related :) and each of them will be treasured and well used.

Firstly a new pin cushion

A new tape measure (which I cannot get a picture of but i'm sure I will be able to get it into another post soon)

And lastly a selection of crafting books

Kirstie's Homemade Home

Home-made Vintage

Ultimate Knitting Bible: A Complete Reference with Step-by-step Techniques

It is looking as though I shall be having a very busy 2011, let's just hope it is a productive year, and at least it will give me plenty to blog about.

Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a lovely and fun filled Christmas, shared with those you love.  It all seems to have gone so quick, all that planning and preparation, and it is all over.  I will be honest I have already started to think of next year :-s frightening I know.  However I am planning big things, well they are to me anyway.  I am wanting to hand make as many of my presents as possible (just call me Kirstie Allsopp).
Anyway let's get back to this Christmas.  I spent the day with my family, and no Christmas is complete without the Christmas family photo.

Me and Mum took the opportunity to dress up.

And of course Molly couldn't be left out.

So that's it for another year.

Christmas Time In Glasgow

As I'm sure you all know by now, I LOVE Christmas, it is one of my favourite time's of year.  I was fortunate this year to be able to visit Glasgow and in particular George's Square.  All I can say is that it looked beautiful amongst all the snow, Christmas Lights and decorations.  Of course I had my camera to hand, I can share with you some of the sights, although the pictures don't really do it any justice.

Santa's sleigh beneath the tree.

A snow covered Lion

It's almost Christmas.  I'm going to get to sleep now, otherwise Santa will never visit me with lots of lovely prezzies :-)

Winter Wonderland

I love the sound just after it has snowed.........silence.  Everything is so peaceful and calm it's lovely, and it all looks so pretty, until it all gets disturbed by us humans anyway.

I haven't ever seen as much snow as we have been having recently, well not that I can remember that is.

I love this one, as it is starting to thaw, a drop of water falling from the tip.

I am also pleased to say that I can now cross off something else from my bucket list or list of wishes which ever way you like to look at it.  I have officially made my first ever snow angel.

And it was still visible the following day after yet more snow :)

Festive Flower Arranging : Week Four

I have really enjoyed this course and I have actually learnt quite a lot which is even better.  I think of the four sessions the first and last were my favourites.  This week was really basic and quite easy, it is suprising how simple some of the displays are, however to look at it I would never have said I would be capable of anything like this.  Anyway enough of the talk from me, let's look at the photo's.

It is basically the same all the way round with a candle in the centre.  Anyone could do it, trust me, if I can, anyone can :-).
