Time Flies

Oh my where is the time going?  I haven't posted for a whole week and feel really bad for not doing so.  It is amazing how much of a release I get from blogging.  It is my safe haven, a place to escape to and actually get away from the stresses of everyday life.  This is not what I thought blogging would be.  Starting this blog is one of the best decisions I have made in my life and I thank you all for all your support you have offered in the 9 months I have been doing so.

So my weekend, I spent Saturday with James' Mum and Aunt, we went to the Spirit of Summer Fair at Kensington Olympia.  You may remember that I went to the Christmas version of this in November, I talked about it here.  Maybe it is my love of Christmas, (although I love the summer as well) but I was just a little disappointed by the whole thing.  It cost us £16.50pp to get in, there wasn't nearly as many stalls as the Christmas fair and it was all on one level as opposed to the 2 levels in November.  Needless to say I will not be going back again next year.  I mean I didn't get my camera out once the whole time I was there, and that is not like me at all.

We still had a good laugh and stopped at Pizza Express for lunch afterwards.  It was a day out in good company so I guess it wasn't all bad.  That was pretty much my weekend really.

On another note I'm rather excited about a date I have this evening.  I just had to tell you all about it.  He is not my usually type at all.  He has long dark hair the dark bit I can cope with, I'm not really a fan of long hair on men.  He has facial hair, a bit more then I would be happy with on a guy, but to make up for the facial hair he has eyes that make you melt.  He is a captain, but not just any captain.  He is of course Captain Jack Sparrow.  I feel weak at the knees just typing it.  I will share all with you tomorrow, for now I need to get ready.  A girl needs to make an effort and look her best in these situations.

Enjoy your evening, whatever you may be doing.

  1. Hi Gem!

I've missed you thoroughly... i'm glad you're back!

I REALLY want to go to the Spirit of Christmas! Ian's Aunt went a year or so back and she said it was amazing. She came back with all these little goodies (like dinner party games) that I enjoyed.

    Enjoy pirates of the Caribbean!
